Describe one development in the news that would impact the work that Health Education Specialists do, for example, a new law or regulation, a national or local program, or recent political actions. Make sure to describe how this new development would impact the work we do.

Succinctly present the new development selected and then explain how this affects the work that Health Education Specialists do (think about programs we develop, what and who we teach and reach, how we can participate in advocacy efforts, what curriculum we can develop, etc.). Remember, this newsletter is geared towards Health Education Specialists, so they want to know how current events may impact - or serve as an opportunity - in their work.
