Part I: It has been stated that we know more about the surface of the moon than we do the oceans. Compare what you have learned in Unit V with this Unit. Do you think, as a nation, we should invest more resources in space exploration or in ocean exploration? Why? Support your answer.

3) In your own words, briefly describe how a black hole forms.
4) Describe how a star forms and the different stages of a star's life. Describe the different fates of the different types of stars. What forces are opposing one another throughout the life of a star and how do they influence the various stages in the life cycle of a star? Reference NASA (2015b).
