The article zero tolerance, written by Greene (1999) is a critique of zero-tolerance policing as practiced by the NYPD. As discussed in this week's lectures, although the NYPD was lauded for achieving significant reductions in crime beginning in the 1990s, some of this acclaim may be overstated.
