Describe contemplation of potential hidden motives

Assignment Task: I propose that Skinner's unwavering stance against consciousness and mentalism was to repel any likelihood of psychological behaviourism being challenged as unscientific. This led me to consider the possibility of perhaps an underlying agenda, particularly as Skinner, also a determinist, vehemently rejected all concepts of mental concepts, free will, internal beliefs, desires, attitudes, introspection and the near exclusion of innate or inherited factors, all of which had been deemed subjective, immeasurable, and unscientific at that time (Woody & Viney, 2017b).  What do you think? When reading of Skinner's behaviourism quests and his strict beliefs, did it perhaps provoke contemplation of potential hidden motives?
