Assignment task:
You will need to think of one location in California that would be a location a terrorist might choose as a place to attack. It can be a large venue (stadium, famous bridge, etc.) or it can be on the smaller side (church, school, etc.). I want you to pick a specific location in California.
After you pick a location, think about why a terrorist would choose the location you selected. Then explain to me why a terrorist would choose this location based on your understanding of terrorism.
Next, you are assigned as the head of security for your location. Complete security plan for your location. Include photos, a map of the location and a site assessment. The site assessment is where you look at a location and see where someone would try to gain access/destroy critical infrastructure. Be sure to pick a location you are at least somewhat familiar with. Think about what can be done to prevent a bombing/shooting etc. Consider previous terrorist attacks and how terrorists were "successful" in accomplishing their goal. How can this be prevented at the location you choose? Can people or vehicles be searched? Can security officers or law enforcement be staged to deter crime? Is identification required to enter? Can security cameras be added? What types of layers of protection can be utilized?
