Identify and describe the 3 broad categories of environmental law. Research and articulate the four types of air quality goals set by the Clean Air Act. Determine the principal goal of the Clean Water Act. Why is a designation/classification of water as a “Navigable Waterway” significant; and does this impact federal jurisdiction? If so, explain why. Describe what the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act is intended to govern and control. Using research, and in your own words, analyze the purpose, impact, and function of the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA). Determine which U.S. agency administers all the federal laws that set national goals and policies for environmental protection. Identify an exception to the foregoing agency’s administration of environmental laws, the other agency that administers an environmental law, and what specific legislative Act that other agency administers.
