Software is something we come into contact with every day in the things we use. At work, software operates the computers scanning the ID badges at the front door. Software runs our computers at our desks and brings email to our cell phones. Software processes medical information on the records at the doctor's office. There is a wide range of software uses in our lives.
Identify, describe and explain a personal or business process or transaction you have conducted recently (e.g., making a purchase, visiting the doctor, using the library, preparing your taxes, completing a work assignment, etc.).
Define and describe what type of software is used in this process or transaction. (There may be more than one type of software used in any transaction.)
In your response, include a brief description of the hardware used in the transaction, then identify and explain two or three items in the graphical user interface (GUI).
