1. Choose one patient you cared for in the alternative environment, i.e ED, ICU.
2. Develop the assessment, diagnosis, interventions, plan and evaluation. Write a full assessment and provide one example for each letter of the acronym. This is not mean to be a complete care plan. Explain why each example meets the criteria for each letter of the ADPIE acronym.
Talk with the nursing staff on the unit where you are assigned about current quality improvement projects. Select one and discuss the pertinent evidence based practice that relates to the project. If there are no current projects, what suggestions do you have about needed quality improvement? What evidence based practice relates to your suggestion?
Describe a policy that is practiced on the nursing unit where you are assigned which promotes safety for all patients and staff on the unit. What is the rationale for the policy?
