For this assessment, the students will respond to questions on each fortnight's lectures and readings that are aimed at developing their ability to critically analyse unit content. One or two questions will be provided during each lecture.
Assessment criteria:
Thoughtful and critical engagement with unit readings and lectures Demonstrated understanding of the characteristics of children's play
Demonstrated understanding of the role and value of play in children's development and learning
Demonstrated reflection on student's role and developing professional identity as an early childhood teacher in supporting children's play
