STATISTICS PROJECT
This assignment requires Graduate students to present an application for the statistical methods discussed in class. The focus of this paper should stretch the student's ability in the core competencies of statistical analysis in ways aligned with the student's intended career path.
This assignment provides an opportunity for the student to demonstrate his or her understanding of course concepts and proficiency in critical thinking, resource utilization, and effective communication. The paper will be 8-10 pages in length, excluding cover page and references.
As this is a graduate level course, your paper should be complete and thorough, and reveal a depth of discussion, elevated level of critical thinking, and use of solid data commensurate with graduate level work.
The paper will include the following elements:
Identify a business-related management problem
Translate the management problem into a hypothesis assumption
Accurately state the null hypothesis and alternative hypothesis
Collect data and apply statistics and quantitative methods to test each hypothesis
Design alternative approaches to evaluating the problem using quantitative methods
Discuss the strengths and weaknesses of several different data collection methods
Present findings and identify their implications for the organization or other stakeholders
The paper will be a Microsoft Office Word Document that incorporates:
12 Point Font, Times New Roman, Double Spaced, 1" Margins, and
Cover page to include Student Name, ID number, Assignment Name, Course Title,
and Date Writing should adhere to all composition guidelines, including appropriate sentence structure, word choice, spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
Writing should be in third person to preserve objectivity and enhance professionalism. Include headings throughout the paper to help organize and identify the different elements of the discussion.
Adhere to APA citation format guidelines, and attach a Cover Page and References to your paper.
