Define the symptoms in Bone marrow of pernicious anaemia?
The nucleated red cells of the marrow are greatly increased. The successive nucleated cell stages in erythropoiesis are called stages I, II, III. And IV and in pernicious anaemia, cells of stages I and II constitute 70 percent and of stages III and IV, 30 percent while in normal persons, the case is reverse. The cells of stage I are peculiar and differ from the normal cells and are called megaloblastic. The overacting bone marrow in pernicious anaemia shows megaloblastic hyperplasia.
