Define the Negative and Positive Feedback?
- Negative - not necessarily detrimental to receiver, depends on how feedback is provided.
- Positive - from superiors / peers - encourage repetition of that behavior; acknowledge contribution / role of the person to the organization.
- Exp : 'this file could do with some tidy up.'
not 'your files are always untidy.'
- The ideal feedback should describe what needs to be done rather than judging / threatening..
- Destructive to bring up past behaviour and grievances
- Deal with current situation.
- Exp : 'we agreed to take turns answering the telephone. It's your turn.' Not 'you always expect me to answer the telephone CLass Activity.
