The Roles of Management:
There are four roles that management must play and keep in balance if it is to succeed over time. If any of the roles is underplayed the organization will be predictably mismanaged. The operative word here is predictably. This model provides a metric for assessing organizations and a language for discussing and providing new insights into some if the most important topics of management including organizational structures, management and work styles and organizational cultures. As organizations grow the relative emphasis on these four roles changes…and must make specific changes to ensure and organization’s continued success.
