Problem: Define the four major organic groups and give examples of their monomers and polymers (for example:  polymers of carbohydrates are called polysaccharides (chitin, glycogen, starch, cellulose), which are made of their monomer simple sugars (hexoses such as glucose and fructose).  If you are using Essentials, consult the chart on page 31 and make your own chart to help you memorize the monomers and polymers of each group as well as their functions in the body.
