RESEARCH OBJECTIVES, METHODOLOGY, AND DESIGN
Pick a single construct that you are interested in as the dependent variable for your future research. If no dependent variable interests you, choose any other construct from articles that you have read in the past that piqued your interest. Do not use simple variables such as Age, Gender, Race, or Education.
Identify three scholarly articles where this specific dependent variable has been used in any form (i.e., as an independent variable, as moderator, or mediator).
Make sure the papers are quantitative, empirical, have hypotheses, and have been published in prestigious journals in your area of concentration.
In a 3- to 5-page paper:
1. Define the DV you are interested in.
2. Explain why you chose these three articles.
3. Draw the model for each of the articles.
4. Discuss what method was used by the authors to gather data and test their hypothesis.
