A. Whether your goal is to be a director or classroom teacher, how have your views of the roles and dynamics of both of these positions changed or developed this semester? Reference your response to at least 3 different topics from the course.
B. What is the importance and benefits of staff meetings? Identify and explain the 4 types of meetings then give 4 keys to facilitating a successful meeting.
C. What are the 3 components of the "Trilemma"? Explain the "Trilemma" and its effect on the early childhood field. Also, share an idea you have that may help with this issue in our field.
D. Define networking and list at least 2 of its benefits. Then give an example of when you might have an opportunity to network in this field.
E. Explain the importance of design and the environment when marketing a program. Be sure to include some examples of internal and external marketing.
F. You have been hired as a lead co-teacher for a preschool classroom at a center that has been open for about a year. As part of your orientation, you have been assigned for 2 days to an Infant Room to better understand the center philosophy. You see that one Infant teacher is continually changing diapers without washing her hands between children. How do you apply the Ethics Code to this situation? What do you do? Say? (Give some specific statements) To whom? Also, list ideals or principles that would support your decision.
G. The director of a local childcare center has asked your advice about pursuing Step-up to Quality. What are some benefits of receiving this recognition? What advice would you give?
