An international summit is being planned for this summer in Winnipeg. In anticipation of possible riots, extra police crews should be stationed in some of the six police districts in the city. Due to the budget constraints, the City Council wants to hire the minimum number of extra crews needed to ensure that at least one extra crew is within 15 minutes driving time of each district. The time (in minutes) required to drive between districts is shown in the table.|
1. Formulate an IP that will tell the City Council how many extra police crews has to be hired and in which districts should they be stationed. Clearly define decision variables and show complete problem formulation.
2. Set up and solve the problem by MS Solver and report the optimal solution.
