Paper Formatting
Your paper should be 5-7 pages in length, (1,600-2,300 words) written in 12pt. "Times New Roman" font.
Your paper should be double-spaced.
Your pages should each be numbered, with your last name as part of the page numbering.

Whichever topic you choose, you must refer to at least three of the texts that we have read for this course in your paper.

paper 2:
Defend this view: literary and religious texts provide us with important insights into the human experience.
(This topic requires that you justify the importance of these kinds of texts in a world where scientific perspectives are growing in authority.)
Paper 3:
Defend this claim: though they are often forced into the background, the strength of female characters in religious/literary texts is easily observed.
(This topic requires that you examine the ways in which the female characters in the texts we've read deserve more credit/attention.)
Paper 4:
In Ishmael, Daniel Quinn argues that totalitarian agriculture was an innovation that took human beings out of the hands of the gods.
Is this a good or a bad thing? Quinn thinks it's a bad thing. You may either argue on his behalf, or argue against his conclusion.
