Assessment topic - Database Design with Access and Report About Modern Information Systems
Purpose -
1. Students will use Access DB and its different functionalities.
2. Students will write a 800 words report based on YouTube videos on moodle every week about different areas of business where ICT megatrends have created an impact or caused radical disruption for example, 3D printing, Cloud Computing, Vulnerability of IT systems etc
Students may identify any other topic of their choice and find a case study pertaining to the topic identified for example bank heist or a hacking attack on banks, government agencies or financial institutions.

Report: Write a report that must include the following sections:
1. Introduction: Discuss the competitive advantage/challenges associated with the use of modern information systems identified
2. Body: Discuss the case study identified.
3. Conclusion: Summarize the important parts of the report and should include recommendations.
4. Reference List: At least 4 to 5 references from academic journals and articles. In addition, proper in-text referencing is to be followed. Follow APA Referencing style.
The assessment will be marked based on the following criteria:
1. Creation of tables and relationships in MS Access.
2. Well-written report and identification of digital innovation in ICT.
3. Provides supported argument with at least 4-5 references (from academic journals and articles).
4. Demonstrates knowledge of the subject matter.
5. Draws a conclusion based on argument.
