Data Commentary for Bicycle Commuters Perception of Danger while Using Mobile Phones
Today's is very distracted by technology. Therefore, mobile phones are becoming essential items because mobile phones make it easy to contact others. People can use them in every place. Consequently, many people use it to do their own business when they ride a bicycle. However, this is an extremely dangerous behavior because this behavior may make people lose their lives. Table 11 shows the perception of danger for bicycle commuters using mobile phones during their commute. According to the table, most people keep a neutral attitude towards the danger of riding a bicycle and using a mobile phone at the same time. As shown in the table, around eighty-five percent of people think this behavior is a danger for them. This is really high data, but people still use mobile phones while riding a bicycle. Therefore, we need to get people to pay attention to this problem because it concerns people's lives.
As can be seen in table, there are 85% respondents think riding a bicycle while using mobile a phone is a problem. Up to seventy-nine percent of male and ninety-one percent of female respondents think riding a bicycle while using mobile a phone is a serious problem. In addition, 11.7 percent of male and 10.7 percent of female respondents will never use phones when they ride a bicycle because they believe it may cause accidents; it is almost the same proportion of male and female for this point. Compared with those respondents who did not think this is a serious problem, there are almost twice as many men as women reported. It is important to note that five percent male and two percent female respondents thought riding a bicycle while using mobile phones is not a problem.
