CRITICAL ANALYSIS

A critical analysis is an analytical study of a journal article or other published work relevant to EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR LAW. Preferably, the subject and content will be from your personal work experience as it pertains to EMPLOYMENT AND LABOR LAW and will address issues currently facing managers in the workplace. The work selected for review must have been published within the last three years( Peer review articles with doi).

A critical analysis, at a minimum, will address:

1. Relevance of the article to course content;

2. Analysis of the logic and completeness of the author's argument;

3. Analysis of the article's strengths and weaknesses;

4. Your logical bases of agreement or disagreement with key issues or points stated in the article;

5. Bibliographic support substantiating your arguments and responses to the article.

Note: Each bibliographic entry listed in the Annotated Bibliography must specify the location, including city and state, from which the reference was obtained, i.e., Newport Way Library, Bellevue, Washington.

Components of a Critical Analysis:

• Cover Page (your name, and title of assignment, and date)

• Abstract of the Critical Analysis

• Body (Five pages, double spaced)

• Sources must be cited within the body of the analysis using the American Psychological Association (APA) format.

• Annotated Bibliography

• Reference page( 6 to 10 references from peer reviewed articles with doi within the last 3 years)
