Media Log:
The job of a Media Log is to detail what is going on in the media product, and then further to analyze WHY certain choices were made, and what that means for the culture, as expressed through (and created by) the media. There are 5 years worth of episodes of MODERN FAMILY, all available on YouTube — specify which episodes you watched — what year and what number, when you do your Log. Watch at least an two hours’ worth of episodes so you can make a general statement about how people (and family) are being treated by the creators of the show.
The episodes must be from the most recent (5th) season of the show.
Otherwise, explaining why the choices they made were made, and what that tells us about the culture of America today — that is the goal of a Media Analysis, which this Meida Log is.
