Part A: User Evaluation Report
Your group is to write a professional report outlining the evaluation of the potential system users and stakeholders to your client the 'NSW Government'. The overall aim is only to focus on the systems analysis stage of the project [you are not looking into design or development at this stage, or in this subject - consider that this is a process of identifying if the system is actually feasible and return the benefits that the government wants]. In the 'overview of the task' it states "the final outcome of your project is to write an effective systems analysis showing how the system would function and how the client can benefit from your proposed solution".
A professional report typically has the following structure:
- Letter of transmittal
- Frontispiece (contains the title, names of the producer[s] and recipient[s], source and date)
- Executive Summary
- Table of Contents
- Introduction
- {Body Text} this is split up under different headings depending on the nature and content of the report
- Conclusion
- References
- Glossary
- Appendices
So for your report in the {body text} section, I would be expected that you have headings like: Stakeholder Analysis (could include personas of users); Interview Questions [for each stakeholder groups]; WBS, System Vision Documents, Gantt Charts (remember that you are only focusing on the analysis phase of a project lifecycle).
Part B: Progress Interview
There is no work to submit for this assessment, this is progress interview where your group shows your work completed to date and answers a series of questions to your interviewer (tutor).
The interview will be structured in 2 sections:
- Group participation and dynamics
- Progress to date
The interview will be marked on the responses given to the interviewer, in terms of professionalism and quality of work. All group members should be able to answer any questions asked by the interviewer.
Group Participation and Dynamics - Questions
Who is the project manager for your group?
What is each of the member's roles in the group? What has been their contribution to date?
What issues have you had working as a group? How have you overcome these issues?
How have you used your group charter?
How have you been using Moodle for this assignment as a collaboration tool? Group to show the Moodle discussion to the interviewer.
Progress to Date -
What aspects of the system analysis have the group been working on?
Can you please show the document and models that you have created and explain what they mean?
Questions will be asked about why you have chosen certain models and the logic that was used.
It is expected at a minimum that the group the group have a set of use case descriptions and use case models created.
