Assignment: Literature Analysis Paper
Purpose:
As a manager, you will at some time be required to institute new practices and procedures into your organisation. It will be your responsibility to ascertain the applicability of such a practice and decide whether or not it is appropriate for your organisation, understand the industry's acceptance of this practice, and make decisions on why/when/where/how to incorporate this practice into your particular organisation.
In Assignment, you were required to analyse the business practice known as a Disability Access & Inclusion Plan (DAIP) and to find an organisation with such a plan, discussing key components of this Plan. Assignment 2 requires that you assess current academic literature on the subject of disability access & inclusion and demonstrate your understanding of:
• the concept of disability access and inclusion, and its importance in the modern organisation
• how it is implemented in different types of organisations
• challenges and opportunities
• how success can be measured
• stakeholder acceptance and how to ensure this
• future direction for disability access and inclusion in the modern organisation
• drivers and barriers to organisational change (consultation, collaboration, and buy-in from all stakeholders)
Deliverables:
• You are required to submit an essay of no more than 2000 words in the form of a Literature Analysis.
• Your Literature Analysis should include a central research question that you are attempting to answer on the themes outlined above
• You must include a discussion of each of the resources you include and show how they contribute to the field of research and would be applicable to modern organisations.
• Your conclusion should present your answer to your central research question with your reasoned arguments
• A diagram that captures and synthesis the core focus of your literature review findings
