Research Proposal (4000 Words)
Learning Outcomes:
A) Critically evaluate the ethical, political, legal and social issues that need to be considered when developing a research proposal.
B) Construct a research question or hypothesis and evaluate its relevance to their field of academic study or area of professional practice.
C) Select and critically appraise appropriate methodology, design and methods to address a specified research question or hypothesis.
Assessment:
There is a single piece of assessed coursework. You are required to develop a 4000 word report demonstrating that you have met all the learning objectives for the module. Normally this will either be a research proposal, or a service improvement project proposal - either for an empirical or literature based research project. This will identify, with justification, a specified research question or hypothesis and appropriate methodology, design, methods and address ethical issues.
