On the basis of the crisis managment, write a paper on the Topic: Give a step-by-step account of the actions that you will take given the scenario below in approximately 6 pages (1,500 words) word document.

Details:

Give a step-by-step account of the actions that you will take given the scenario below. The account must be in a report format and you should use the Crisis Management document (from part 1), as you would in a live situation. Your goal is both to protect the public and to keep trading – good luck!

The report must be detailed and factual, to be able to be presented as evidence in a court of law, listing:

• The specific actions you will take, with the times and dates of any actions taken
• Copies of any correspondence sent i.e. emails, details of phone conversations etc., to you and from you.
• Details of any product recall and the results
• Details of any media statements.

The Scenario:

You are the Technical Director and the Crisis Management Team Leader of your company.

You were recently forced to make some of your staff redundant due to the loss of a large contract. This did not go well and several of the staff members involved became very angry and some threats were made. The loss of the contract has meant that the company has money tied up in stock that it cannot sell on, so cash flow is tight. You supply a major supermarket chain and if you fail to meet the contracted supply of product, the fines imposed by the customer will be £1000 per day and production is scheduled on a 09:00 to 5:00 basis 7 days per week (excluding Bank Holidays).

You receive a call from the police at 20:00 on Thursday 24/03/2016 (date is relevant), informing you that there has been a fire in your main warehouse, which has affected a section of the production area of your factory. On arrival at the premises you find that here has been damage to the electricity generator, taking out your phone lines and IT systems, as well as a number of your refrigeration units.

At 21:00 you receive an anonymous call on your mobile informing you that glass fragments have been put into one of the batches of your products deliberately and the batch has already been dispatched to your customers, the glass could potentially cause a fatality.
