Creating our own unique psychological worlds

Problem: A key learning objective for this week involved recognizing that we create our own unique psychological worlds by choosing what to think about and how to think about it, and that our psychological worlds help us shape our behaviors. Informed by your own experiences and scenarios from your previous or present workplace, address the following: Identify a behavior that you intend to change: start by providing some background information to describe the behavior, relevant dynamics, factors, and outcomes; Explain and analyze how you might be able to change this behavior using thought-focused strategies that we discussed this week; please keep in mind that proper adaptation results from a holistic approach (see Generative Glance). As part of your analysis, explore and share some building blocks of your psychological world that played a key role in shaping the behavior of interest. This knowledge can help you evolve your mental models more effectively, which in turn can help you change the behavior. Relate Peter Senge's concept of "Mental Models" to this week's concepts. Please include "the Ladder of Inference" in your analysis. (b) What business applications can you extract from your research and analysis?
