Assignment: Healthy Homes and Sustainable Foods Graphic Project
For this assignment you will research one of the topics listed below and present the data in the form of an Infographic, Prezi presentation, or PowerPoint Presentation. You need to use two scholarly sources and include a one-page summary of your graphic project in a word document. You will upload your graphic and the summary to the Waypoint. If you chose a PowerPoint presentation, you need to have a minimum of five slides. For a Prezi Presentation, you need to include a minimum two main sections with two subsections for each one. For infographics, you need to include five main topic areas.
• Choose a topic:
o Indoor Pollution: Use the information you gathered for the discussion post this week.
o Local Sustainable Foods: Find out what foods are available in your area.
o Urban Homesteading Movements
o Non-Toxic Homes Movements
o Locate two scholarly articles from the Ashford Library to support your topic.
• Third, choose a medium - Infographic, PowerPoint, or Prezi.
o PowerPoint: PowerPoint is part of the Microsoft Office software package and does not have free access. If you already have PowerPoint on your computer, this is a good option for the assignment. If you need help using PowerPoint please review the Microsoft PowerPoint tutorial.
o Prezi: Prezi is a good alternative to PowerPoint. It is also free and user-friendly. You can chose from numerous templates or create your own and articles.
o Infographic Designers: There are many free infographic designers from which you can chose. If you are interested in creating an infographic for this assignment, please explore the following designers or find one that works best for you.
• Create your presentation or infographic.
• PowerPoint Presentation Requirements: Five Slides
• Prezi Presentation Requirements: Two main sections each of which should have one to two subsections.
• Infographic Requirements: Two main sections each of which should have one to two subsections.
• Write a summary of the topic. The summary should include the main points of your presentation and should be a minimum of one page. Remember to cite your scholarly articles and use 12point font and double spacing.
• Upload your graphic presentation to Waypoint. You should do your best to save the graphic presentation as a PDF file and then upload your summary of the project in a word document. If this is not feasible for you project, it is required a working link to your project in the word document with your summary.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
