Homework: Examine Access to Group Treatment Opportunities in Your Community
Length: 3 to 5 brochure pages.
Your task is to create an informational brochure to educate people in your community about groupwork and local organizations that provide group treatment. Your brochure must include the following:
a) A basic description of group work appropriate for your community audience
b) A description of at least two evidence-based group treatments
c) Information on three agencies in your community that provide group treatment and detailed descriptions of the groups they offer. Include all of the information that a member of the community would need in order to access services in each of these groups.
Finally, submit a brief Video Note. Your video should identify a social policy at the local, state, or federal level that impacts the delivery of, or access to, group treatment in your community.
To create a video note, select the Record video option in the homework submission area. You will need your webcam to complete this video. Press the New Recording button when you are ready to record your video note and the Stop Recording when finished. Click the Add button to include the video in your homework submission. Note, the Video Note tool records a maximum of 3 minutes. Plan on splitting your video into multiple segments if need be.
Format your homework according to the give formatting requirements:
• The answer must be using Times New Roman font (size 12), double spaced, and typed, with one-inch margins on all sides.
• The response also includes a cover page containing the student's name, the title of the homework, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
• Also include a reference page. The references and Citations should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
