To maximize one’s potential and create a positive outcome with customers, a person should use the PLAN acronym as a guide to effective communication with those with whom the person comes into contact.

• PLAN stands for

o Prepare for positive customer interactions.

o Let your customers know they are important.

o Address your customer’s expectations positively.

o Nurture a continuing relationship.
