Discuss author Tim Stafford's meaning of "Going to Jerusalem." Based on the discussion, create a plan for "Going to Jerusalem" told in story form. Let the activities cause you to consider your life and what it means to serve God.
Author Tim Stafford writes "Wherever Christians walk in Jesus' steps, they move instinctively toward their Jerusalem" . Discuss and come to a consensus as to what he means. Within the context of a statement by Jesus , the author says "Witnesses are drawn toward the place of confrontation" . Discuss the validity of the statement for Christians; if valid, discuss implications. Recall Paul's words in 2 Cor. 4:8-11 .Discuss how they reflect Jesus' life (if at all) and how they apply to the Church today.
From the discussions, create a fictitious person who "goes to her/his Jerusalem." Envision the person generally enough that many people can fit the character. But create the person specifically enough so you can feel the experience you create as s/he "goes to Jerusalem"
