Assignment:
1. Purchase, download, and install VMWare Workstation or Fusion (depending upon your computer OS)
2. Purchase and download the latest version of Windows Server.
3. Create a new Virtual Machine in VMWare, and install the downloaded Windows Server within.
4. Ensure that the server name is appropriate for your corporation.
5. Create a complex password for the Administrator account.
6. Be sure to choose the GUI option for installation.
7. As you go, take instructional notes and screenshots that will help to reproduce your process. Submit these notes as proof of completion.

Directory Services
Install the appropriate Directory Services application on Windows Server.
1. Ensure that the root domain object is labeled as "win.companyname.net" appropriate for your corporation.
2. Note: You will need to install DNS either during or just prior to the Directory Services installation.

File and Folder Permissions
Within both Linux and Windows environments, create folder directories for each user group that was created during the User and Group Management Lab.
1. Allow each user group to have read-write access to their appropriate folder directory.
2. Allow the IT user group to have full control to each folder directory.

User and Group Management
Within both Linux and Windows environments, create 10 user accounts. You may use any name that comes to mind, but remember to be appropriate.
1. Look at your existing corporation. Create 10 user groups (both Linux and Windows - at least one user account per group) appropriate for the needs of this company. Note: Most companies have groups of people performing standard tasks such as HR, Payroll, Accounting, Management, Administration, etc. Many companies have additional specialized groups such as Engineering, Design, Manufacturing, Sales, Training, etc.
2. Use PowerShell to import user accounts according to the names listed in "ITT-121 User Names Resource." Check with your instructor for additional guidance on this project.
3. In addition to the above applicable user groups, create an IT user group.
4. Create at least one alternative account that has administrative or super user privileges. Ensure that this account belongs to the IT user group, as well as any other built-in administrator groups.

File and Print Sharing
On the Windows server, configure each folder created in the File and Folder Permissions Lab to be accessible as a network resource share.
1. Set the share permissions as "Everyone | Full Control.
2. Create another Windows workstation within the virtual environment. Ensure that it is operating on the same IP subnet as the Windows Server (domain controller) and has a new computer name. Join this system to your existing Windows domain.
3. Using the workstation, create drive maps to each shared folder on the Windows Server.
