Selected terrorist group is Taliban
Part 1
You are an intelligence analyst with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) field office in a specific American city.
Write a Threat Memo explaining the threat that is posed by the organization that you selected (Taliban) for your Key Assignment. The memo should specifically state why your region might be targeted. Ensure that the following requirements are met:
Use multiple sources, including government reports, academic and legal sources, databases, and news articles to complete the memo.
Detail the group''s ideology, criminal history, tactics, and organizational structure, as well as recommendations to local law enforcement agencies on counterterrorism strategies.
In your heading, state which city you have selected.
Detail how to mitigate the threat that is posed by biological, chemical, or nuclear terrorism. This memo should do the following:
Summarize the threat
Identify real-world examples, cases, and sources that prove that the threat and consequences are legitimate.
The threat may be general (e.g., there are insufficient resources available to adequately protect against nuclear attacks), or it may be a specific case (e.g., security for public transportation in Chicago is behind other major cities of its size).
Provide a solution
The solution should be viable.
You should help the reader picture what the world will look like once the proposed policy is implemented.
If your selected organization does not hypothetically pose a threat to any American city, you may substitute an international location for the sake of this assignment.
Part 2
Create a Network Architecture of your selected organization that breaks down how the group finances its operations. Provide information in support of your view.
Starting from the beginning, describe how the initial group developed its financial infrastructure to sustain the group and expand its operations. Discuss the following:
Did the group spread out across geological boundaries in an attempt to seek support?
If so, how did this help to finance the organization?
Did the group receive political and institutional support from a government, nation, or state?
If so, what were the results of that influence?
