Create a clear, concise problem statement that will guide your work.
A problem statement may be a couple of sentences but it is definitely not a paragraph in length.
First, the problem statement should discuss a hole in the literature of your field.
The second part of the statement is describing, in general, how your work will strive to fill that hole. Please comply with all APA 6th edition guidelines.
1. Create your problem statement
• Please do not worry that it will be too short. This is actually one of the most challenging parts of developing research.
• You are not going to be able to "solve world peace" with your work. Find a small hole that your work can reasonably fill and contribute to your field.
Your problem statement time and time again to insure that every word as a purpose.
