Create a brochure describing three forms of birth control

Assignment task:

Shannon is 16 years old. She and her boyfriend, Jack, who is also 16, have been dating for nine months and things are becoming more serious. For the past few months, they have been having outersex and oral sex. Shannon is comfortable with this, but Jack wants to become even more sexually intimate. They have talked about it some, and Shannon feels she is ready, but she has concerns. First, she is very close to her parents, her mom especially, and although she feels she can talk to her mom about this, she is scared to know what her mom's reaction would be. Secondly, she doesn't want to end up pregnant. She has big dreams and aspirations, and becoming a teen mom is not one of them.

To help with her fears and concerns, she makes an appointment with her family doctor. Dr. Connor, who has been her doctor for the past ten years, and she feels she can tell her anything. During their conversation, Shannon explains her situation and her fears. Dr. Connor goes over options with her, including different birth control options and even STI prevention. Her next concern is her parents. She begs Dr. Connor not to say anything to her mom or dad.

Shannon goes home with a pamphlet of birth control options. After thinking about it for a few days, Shannon decides to get a prescription for birth control.

A couple of months later, Shannon's mother is putting clothes away in her dresser and comes across her birth control pack and is irate. She calls Dr. Connor's office and demands to speak with either Dr. Connor or her nurse (you).
