Collecting data Collect data for one or more of the following as directed by the instructor.
a. Count the dollar value of the change you are carrying on your person (in your pocket, wallet, or pocketbook).
b. Measure the diameter of a tennis ball, to the nearest millimeter, with the measuring equipment supplied by the instructor.
c. Measure the circumference of your head, to the nearest millimeter, with the tape measure provided.
d. Measure the thickness of a single page of your statistics book, to the nearest thousandth of a millimeter, using only a ruler.
