Problem: In the years immediately following World War II, society began to place great value on the idea of social conformity. In other words, the idea of a person as a productive member of society was valued above the concept of a person as a unique individual. How do you feel about the idea of conformity over individuality? Could an argument be made in favor of social conformity (consider concepts like loyalty, patriotism, being a "team-player" etc.), or is suppressing individuality always destructive to a person's sense of self?
