Question 1- Does the manufacturer for example, Prada, have a legal leg to stand on if you are selling knock off goods? Would they take the time to legally pursue you if they did? Is anyone up to doing a quick search on this topic and informing the rest of us what they found...Have there been any cases like this where copyright/ trademark infringement held up?
Question 2- If you were searching out information on a foreign market, who would do you ask? What resources might you lean on? Would you hire a domestic firm with global capabilities or a firm local to target market to provide you with information? When considering culture, how important is it to "speak" the same language? With the shrinking of the world through the web and electronic technology, do you think that adaptation and immersion is still as important as it has been in years past?
Question 3- When looking at expanding to a new country, what are some of the pitfalls that may unveil themselves once you are in the process of expanding? Building a plan is key, but in what areas would you build backups and contingencies?
