Problem:
When you consider patient satisfaction scores you must consider what areas are being scored. If I were reporting these scores back to my supervisor I would discuss with them the areas that are needing improvement. As a nurse I would assume that we were scoring our department and how we are meeting expectations. These scores are important, considering that they can effect or facilities funding. I would discuss with my supervisor the areas that we scored the lowest and how to make improvements in those areas. With this kind of data, we could develop a plan of improvement and ultimately provide better patient care. With a mean of 10.4 out of 20 there would defiantly be room for improvement, but it could be done with the right staff and supervisors.
