Essay - Argumentative Research Essay
Choose ONE of the essay choices below to write on for your second paper. In this essay, you are considering the impact of modern technology or speculating about the possible impact a new technology might have in the future. Basically, you want to pick the subject that interests you the most of the three choices; think about it, research it, and present it in a form of an argument.
Essay Choice 1: Write a paper in which you choose a side in support of / or against the use of technology in the college classroom. Consider "smart" classrooms with internet access for teachers and/ or students using laptops or other technological devices in the classroom.
Essay Choice 2: Consider the future of Artificial Intelligence. Do you think we have more to gain or more to lose by embracing this type of technology? What types of positive or negative consequences have (or could) occur?
Essay Choice 3: Think about the psychological impact that one specific social network (i.e., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter) have had on one specific set of users (ie. teenagers, couples, seniors, children). How are these users affected psychologically and emotionally by this particular social network? What would you propose in order to help these users maintain healthy boundaries online?
