Case Scenario: I conducted a multiple linear regression analysis for a survey study. One of my predictor variables was a statistically significant contributor to the model which was also found statistically significant. The second predictor was not.
Question: in the discussion would it be correct to state that predictor variable 1 was found to be a predictor of the outcome variable? Or does that statement imply directionality and causality which MLR and surveys cannot do?
Please answer the above question and then suggest a possible way of summarizing the findings in the discussion.
