1. Describe the career you selected and the type(s) of written communication required in that role.
2. Explain how the type of written communication you described is relevant in that career and the associated criminal justice subdomain (law enforcement, courts, corrections).
3. Explain how written communication in your selected career may be used or referenced by criminal justice colleagues, agency partners, or other interested parties. In addition to your supervisor, who else might reference or have access to your written communication?
4. Reflect on the qualities of effective writing. What are your general strengths and weaknesses? What do you need to do to write more effectively? What steps can you take now to strengthen your writing skills?
