Singapore Post's vision is to be 'a global leader in e-commerce logistics and trusted communications'. The three 'business pillars' of the company are 'postal services', 'logistics' and 'e-commerce' which are integrated through the corporate services division. This group assignment focuses on the 'e-commence logistics' hub strategy in South East Asia.
Singapore Post has recently opened a regional hub in Singapore. Mr Simon Israel, Singapore Post's Chairman, has been quoted as saying, "the opening of our regional e-commerce Logistics Hub is another milestone in the expansion of Singapore Post's e-commerce logistics network...... Singapore's regional connectivity makes it ideally positioned to be a centre for e-commerce. Our Regional e-commerce Logistics Hub leverages on this geographic and infrastructural advantage" (Singapore Post, 2016).
