Assignment Part I:
Pick a company you are familiar with, that you like, that you worked for, or that you are currently working for. Analyze their vision/mission, goals and objectives, and relevant strategies developed in order to achieve their mission. You must include the company's vision/mission statement and the nature of the business. One can usually access company websites and get most of the information and some additional research on the company's business and performance.
Include one goal and one objective per goal as a minimum. Also, include the pertinent SWOT analysis or gap analysis. This is how you tie the research to the material you are learning from the textbook and the discussions.
The write-up must be crisp and to the point. Make sure appropriate references are indicated (include the date of access and refer to it in your write-up per APA requirements).
You do not have to reveal the name of the company if it is confidential. The report should be about 500 words (~two pages). It is the quality that will be evaluated and not the quantity of writing. In accordance with APA format, at least two references should be provided, with date accessed.

Assignment Part II:
Conduct a research on the internet/periodicals/journals/news media and write a report on the biggest engineering technology management challenge today's corporations face. Write a report not exceeding 500 words or two pages. In accordance with APA format, at least two references should be provided, with date accessed.
You may use your own company for this assignment. You may also tailor this to a specific industry - such as semiconductors, automobiles, apparel, software, eCommerce, or similar industries. Tie the challenge to a company's vision/mission. Include new and developing technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, etc., and indicate how it would help to meet the challenge.
The conclusion should include your views and thoughts on the challenge and what you would recommend should be changed or initiated to meet the challenge. The ideas communicated must be clear, brief, and to the point. (Note - this can be related to the same company/organization chosen to answer question 1 above).
NOTE:
1. Per APA there will be one title page, one reference page, plus two pages of written answers for each question for a total of six pages. Do not write anything more since it could affect your points. 2. You have to run your report through Turnitn, and the similarity index has to be 10% or less. Turnitin has been enabled to allow you to submit more than once so you can check, correct, and resubmit (it will overwrite your previous submissions till the due date).
