Problem: After about two months of teaching, Mr. Evans began to be concerned about something that he was noticing in his math class. He was so concerned, that he talked with his colleague, Ms. Lopez (who has ten years of experience) about it. Mr. Evans told Ms. Lopez that he felt frustrated and anxious because there appeared to be two groups in his 10th grade class. Ms. Lopez asked him to identify the groups.
