You will write a 2000 word essay that responds to one of propositions listed below. In critically reflecting upon the topic, you will construct an argument that clearly engages with and responds to the proposition. Your essay must also include some empirical illustration, which grounds the key conceptual ideas raised in your response in a real-word problem. You are encouraged to draw upon one or more of the case studies discussed in the subject, but are also welcome to engage with one or more issues that have not been discussed.
Your essay must fully and correctly cite all sources that are referenced in the body of your essay, and in a bibliography following its conclusion. The citations are counted toward the word limit; the bibliography is not.
