The following scenario will be used in a number of course assignments.
Your new job requires you to set up a home computing environment that will allow you to work both from your home and from the office. Your home computing environment is going to require using Vista. The first step will be for you to get more familiar with this operating system.
For this first assignment, you will examine some of the basic steps in setting up your system. Prepare a checklist of the procedures you think should be followed when initially setting up a new system for home and home office work. What programs do you think you should add to those that come with Vista? What kinds of uses will you have for the system? Will others need to share files on your computer or devices like printers that are attached to your computer?
Subsequent assignments during the course will allow you to continue your efforts in setting up this home computing environment.
