Assignment: Using Tools for Decision Making
Think about a decision that needs to be made by leadership in your current organization, or in an organization with which you are familiar. Assume that you are the leader who must make the decision, and use two decision-making tools/processes to arrive at your decision.
1. Apply two of the techniques or tools presented in this module (decision trees, mind maps, and diagrams) to identify possible solutions relevant to the decision you must make.
2. If you choose a process, include the names of the steps as you describe the process.
3. If you choose a tool, include the diagram/map.
4. Compare the results of the two techniques you chose.
5. Assess which tool/process you think would be most effective in making the decision.
6. Predict which tool/process you are most likely to use in making future decisions.
7. Keep in mind that you should refer to yourself as "the leader" in this paper, and not use the first person.
Format your assignment according to the following formatting requirements:
1. The answer should be typed, double spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all sides.
2. The response also include a cover page containing the title of the assignment, the student's name, the course title, and the date. The cover page is not included in the required page length.
3. Also Include a reference page. The Citations and references should follow APA format. The reference page is not included in the required page length.
