Essay: Selected Presidencies' Impact on Federalism Assignment Instructions
Overview:
Students will compose an expository Essay, which is an essay that explains or describes something in a neutral and informative way. It presents a balanced analysis of a topic based on facts, without the writer's opinions.
In this paper, you will compare the impacts on U.S. federalism of the Obama, Trump, and Biden presidencies. Conclude with an analysis of which one made the greatest impact and why.
In the essay paper, you should:
- Begin with an overview of what U.S. Federalism is.
- Compare and Contrast each of the three presidencies' impact
- Validate your comparisons with course material (presentations, textbooks, and scholarly sources).
- Conclude with an analysis of which one made the greatest impact and why.
Instructions:
- Paper should be 7-8 pages of content in length. An Abstract is not necessary.
- APA format.
- Headings should be included and must conform to the content categories listed. In other words, there must be 3 sections (with headers) in this paper. A section for the introduction and conclusion is not required but is highly recommended.
- Overview of U.S. Federalism
- Comparisons (Use level headers as necessary)
- Personal Analysis
- All ideas shared by students should be supported with sound reason and citations from the required reading, presentations, and additional resources.
- 7-8 additional scholarly sources must be used. They need to be scholarly and provide relevant information regarding your position.
- Integrate Biblical principles within the analysis of the paper.
- Unacceptable sources (Wikipedia, dictionaries, encyclopedias, and websites).
- Acceptable sources (scholarly articles published within the last eight years).
