b) A newspaper editorial once stated "Few should weep over the buffalo" because American power rested on its ability to exploit natural resources. Other than the buffalo, identify three "natural resources" whose exploitation as commodities radically altered the environment within the United States. What were the principal causes and consequences of this exploitation? Develop an argument, and persuade me.
